About Us

The GFWC Floyd County Woman’s Club is dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services. It consists of women determined to make a difference in their communities, locally and worldwide. As a member of the GFWC Floyd County Woman’s Club, we are proud to belong to an international group of women volunteers with a historic legacy and continuing tradition of community service. Working alongside other dedicated club members, our goals are to enhance and improve the lives of our family, community, and our fellow members.

We provide abundant opportunities to enrich our personal lives through volunteer work and club fellowship, enjoy networking with GFWC partner organizations, and benefit from educational and inspirational programs, events and publications which provide community leadership opportunities. We are always looking for new members to join GFWC. If you are interested in learning more about GFWC membership or community involvement, please feel free to browse this site to learn more.

Some of our current and past projects are the Annual Floyd County Arts & Crafts Festival, helping purchase Thermal Imaging Cameras for Firefighters, Scholarships for High School Seniors, American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Daffodils Days, sponsor local Issue Forums to keep club members and community informed, expansion of local library, assist with Bloodmobiles, Southwest Training Center, Operation Smile, HOBY and Camp Easter Seals along with the many other local projects and efforts.
