Congratulations Ladies! The GFWC Floyd Woman’s Club was recently awarded 1st place for Conservation at the annual GFWC Blue Ridge Spring District Meeting on April 18th.  Just a reminder to bring your own drink container to all monthly meetings and keep track of your recycling efforts.  The Conservation Committee hosted Jane Cundiff, a environmental scientist who teaches at Radford University, who spoke to our group about Preserving Floyd’s Water.  We learned many things about how to promote biodiversity by planting perennial gardens and the importance of understanding how our actions effect the quality of our water.
